well done, fellow-organizers..

di perkiraan terakhir saya & hasmadi, seramai 46 kawan-kawan lama kami memberi persetujuan untuk datang kepertemuan tahun 2008 ini, tetapi ada juga dari mereka ini yang akhirnya tak dapat hadir, dan pada masa yang sama mereka yang tidak termasuk dalam senarai-46 ini tiba-tiba muncul memeriah dan meramaikan suasana malam serba-hitam kami.. tetapi bila sampai masa untuk mengambil gambar-kumpulan pada lebihkurang pukul 12 tengah malam hari krismas, hampir setengah (?) dari kami sudah meninggalkan restoran terapung di putra-brasmana-hotel, kuala perlis, hence only 23 of us 'gagak-gagak-hitam' featured here in this group-photo..

hasmadi-ibrahim sebagai the organizer/executor and abdul-manaf-jusoh sebagai bendahari tentulah lebih arif tentang siapa dan berapa yang akhirnya dapat muncul malam itu, petang esoknya disekolah dan juga dimalam BBQ @hasmadi's house.. but regardless of the final number, it was very encouraging to see 22 'new-faces' among us reunion-regulars..

and to be able to touch-base again in perlis, with our orang-orang-kuat-perlis after a lapse of 7-8 years was definitely another milestone and a big achievement.. hoping now that this loosely-formed alumni-group will grow stronger in years to come as we ourselves grow older, wiser and grey-er, ooppss... ;)

asrama putera's courtyard.. yes sirs/madams.. we. girls were let loose to roam freely in both blocks A&B and took this photo ourselves.. but surprisingly the boys were not so enthusiastic in checking out the asrama puteri's dormitories.. pasal dah pernah curi pergi agaknya? mmm... ;)

terserempak dengan mr. tan kim tang, our add. maths teacher who just retired 3 years earlier..

badrul-hisham-sulaiman ditengah-tengah dan diapit oleh yang berhormat our very own singing-lawyer sabri-pin dan yang berusaha hasmadi, affectionately known as wak or wak-budu..

both yang berhormat dan yang berusaha did a darn good job in making sure that we, the orang-dari-KL&sekitar, were fully-fed and entertained before our journey home..

ahh yes.. and they sang for us too!! but with the endless jokes, teases and banters going around for 2 consecutive nights led by our very own hero-tua, eh leading-actor zulkhairi-ibrahim @hairi-kanta in blue-shirt.. i'm very sure that they themselves were entertained and had some jolly wonderful times too..!!

credits must also go to mantalib, pakman, komeng and those not mentioned and highlighted here in my blog-postings..

girl-power..??

i'm seated next to my 5-year old son who is 'secretly' watching/enjoying powerpuff-girls and totally-spice cartoons, back to back.. hence the title of this post.. ;)

but i'm actually also thinking of how hard it has been for me, the madam organizer for some number of years, to get the participation and attendance of my fellow girl-friends..

in all the gatherings that we've had over the years, the number of male participants was always 3x than the girls.. therefore everytime another gathering was being planned, i've always made the extra effort to attract more and more girls.. eventhough i knew at the back of my mind that the original number of us, girls back in school was always only approximately one-third of the total number of students for our year/batch.. hence, those guys would forever outnumber us girls 3x over in our gatherings, no matter what..

but this time around, in dec-2008 3days-2nites reunion in perlis.. i've 'discovered' and 'secretly' formed some (hopefully) powerful girlish-powers & alliances.. ;))

with faizah-ibrahim, dr-dahlina-daut and husna-nor-habibi 'secretly' becoming my regular all-girls-travelling-buddies for future outstation gatherings/events, i've also 'secretly' appointed dr-rostah-nayan, rohaiza-mohamad, fazilah-othman, roslina-mokhtar, norsiah-laden and azarishah-ahmad to become our future perlis-girls-representatives, no matter where we gather next..

sorry girls.. the 'secret' appointments are now official and public knowledge.. ;)))

and from here onwards, we will together search for those still-missing and still-uncontactable lost-girls, mmm.. ;)
